Overview

Rhoads Industries, a family-owned company since 1896, is seeking a Welder/Pipefitter Journeyman to join their Industrial Services team. The company specializes in industrial fabrication, mechanical/maintenance, and maritime services, providing exceptional products and services to a diverse range of customers.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand P&ID’s and ISO drawings to fabricate and assemble piping systems.
• Use power tools for the fabrication of piping systems, including grinders and threading machines.
• Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel pipe.
• Troubleshoot and solve issues with tools and equipment used in pipe fabrication and installation.
• Plan and participate in pipe fabrication and installation projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Train and mentor less experienced employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED or trade school certificate).
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial pipe fitting/welding.
• Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings.
• Experience with rigging pipe and operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or high reach equipment.
• Advanced knowledge in metallurgy, welding safety, and quality control.
• Must own a vehicle and hold a valid Driver's License.

Additional Information

• Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7AM – 3:30 PM with overtime and weekend shifts available.
• Position based out of The Navy Yard in Philadelphia.
