Overview

Brooks Instrument, an industry leader in flow and pressure instrumentation, is seeking a Welder for precision Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) on titanium and other specialty alloys in a controlled argon chamber environment at their headquarters in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision GTAW/TIG welding of titanium and other specialty metals within a sealed argon chamber.
• Set up, operate, and monitor argon chamber equipment, including verifying proper purge cycles and oxygen levels.
• Prepare and clean materials in accordance with titanium welding requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and manufacturing specifications.
• Assemble, fit, align, and tack components prior to welding.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing operations as required.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Follow all safety procedures related to welding and manufacturing operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or certification in GTAW/TIG welding preferred.
• Experience welding titanium or other reactive metals preferred.
• Experience operating or working within an inert gas glove box or argon chamber is highly desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
