Overview

The Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc. Water & Wastewater Services Division is seeking a self-motivated full-time Service Technician to manage water/wastewater service, including troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and overseeing installations in the Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia area.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews in mechanical equipment repairs and maintenance at pump stations and treatment facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues on pumps, motors, blowers, and related equipment.
• Perform laser shaft alignment and vibration testing.
• Conduct minor welding or fabrication as needed.
• Coordinate work with plant operators and mentor junior technicians.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and confined-space safety protocols.
• Complete service reports and daily logs.
• Operate a company-owned mechanic’s truck throughout the tri-state region.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response.

Requirements

• 5+ years hands-on service experience in the water/wastewater industry.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working in and around wastewater environments.
