Overview

Hull's is seeking a diesel mechanic responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repairs of company vehicles to ensure safe operation of the fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and ensure required inspections of company vehicles are performed and meet the desired standard.
  • Perform routine maintenance/repairs on company vehicles crucial to the safe operation of the fleet.
  • Schedule and ensure that all safety related repairs and driver requested repairs are performed daily.
  • Protect the health and welfare of all employees by enforcing best fleet safety practices.
  • Keep tools, equipment and shop area clean and organized and in good working condition.
  • Complete and submit company forms; work orders, purchased parts/equipment, fleet records, etc.
  • Must be willing to work beyond normal work hours, must be available for night-time/weekend work.
  • Understand and comply with all DOT regulations and applicable laws.
  • Comply with on-going and random drug testing/physicals as required by the Company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 3 years in the mechanic trade; to include small and large vehicles and equipment.
  • ASE certification a plus.
  • Must have own tools (company to purchase specialty tools).
  • Commercial Driver License with clean driving record preferred.
  • Must be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles.
  • Work requires heavy lifting, manual labor.
