Overview
Join our team as a Park Mechanic, where you'll have the opportunity to work on thrilling rides and attractions at Six Flags. This full-time, hourly position offers a chance to utilize your mechanical skills in a fun and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect rides and attractions, notifying management of any hazards.
- Perform ride inspection and maintenance programs according to standards.
- Maintain, erect, repair, and troubleshoot theme park rides and attractions.
- Diagnose malfunctioning hydraulic, pneumatic, and gearbox drive systems.
- Repair or replace faulty mechanical components such as lift chains and gear boxes.
- Visually inspect machines to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Remove or replace worn or defective parts using hand or power tools.
- Weld using various processes including ARC and Flux Core ARC welding.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work and records of preventative maintenance.
- Respond to work orders and conduct mechanical repairs as needed.
- Adhere to park policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of various mechanical systems and welding proficiency.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional interaction skills with other departments.
- Ability to troubleshoot in the presence of guests and co-workers.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, bend, stand for long periods, climb, and work at heights up to 200 ft.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
- Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report.
- Employees must supply their own hand tools.

Additional Information
- Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Pay range is $30.12 - $40.16 per hour, with overtime paid at 1.5x standard rate.
