Responsibilities
- Select and prepare appropriate materials for welding.
- Cut, shape, and fit metal components using various tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Ensure the structural integrity and cosmetic quality of welded components.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to address welding defects.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment.
- Report safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in welding techniques.
Requirements
- Requires aluminum TIG welding experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or technical training preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
