Overview

At Barletta Boats, based in Bristol, Indiana, we create exceptional on-the-water experiences by building the best pontoon boats in the industry. We are looking for an Aluminum TIG Welder to join our Weld Team, where you will perform TIG welding to fabricate high-quality pontoons and related components.

Responsibilities

• Select and prepare appropriate materials for welding.
• Cut, shape, and fit metal components using tools such as grinders, saws, and cutting torches.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ensure the structural integrity and cosmetic quality of welded components.
• Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address welding defects.
• Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions for timely repairs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in welding techniques.
• Stay informed about advancements in welding technology.

Requirements

• Requires aluminum TIG welding experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or technical training preferred.
• Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment, preferably in boat manufacturing.
• Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
