Overview

Kelso Industries is a group of over 30 companies with more than 3,500 employees delivering HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical solutions nationwide. Retrofit Technology, part of this family, is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to support mechanical and HVAC retrofit projects across Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble piping systems using various methods (TIG, MIG, stick, brazing, soldering, etc.).
• Fit, align, and secure pipe systems and supports according to specifications and drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Fabricate and install copper, carbon steel, stainless steel, and PVC piping.
• Perform rigging, demo, and installation work on HVAC retrofit projects.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA and company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in pipe welding or mechanical retrofit environments.
• Proficiency in soldering or brazing copper pipe, welding carbon or stainless steel pipe, and fitting or threading steel and PVC pipe.
• Ability to pass a pipe welding test (administered at our Bloomington shop).
• Skilled at reading and following mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Southern California.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and safety mindset.

Additional Information

• Position based out of Bloomington, CA with frequent travel to job sites throughout Southern California.
• Daily per diem provided and hotel accommodations covered by the company for overnight stays.
