Overview

Superior Cladding is expanding and needs more welding operators in Houston, Texas. This is onsite work, specializing in GTAW-P Hotwire (Tig) cladding and weld overlay. Superior Cladding has been in business since 2012 and strives for excellence in welding and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Weld overlays and cladding on pipe, fittings, and pressure components, via GTAW-Pulsed Hotwire (ARC-5 Cladding machines)
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor cladding machines to meet demanding quality standards
  • Regularly grind welds to ensure quality
  • Read and understand weld prints, drawings and manufacturing instructions
  • Inspect and verify weld quality throughout the manufacturing process
  • Follow welding procedure specifications (WPS’s) and work within their qualifications
  • Maintain equipment and ensure safe working conditions

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with fellow team members, customers and 3rd parties
  • Able to read and follow weld procedures, work instructions, drawings, prints and weld symbols
  • Able to move things by hand, crane, and forklift as needed
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week with overtime
  • Experience with ARC Specialties / semi-automated cladding systems (preferred)
  • Have 1+ year experience in GTAW-P welding, overlays and/or cladding operations (preferred)
