Overview

Aggreko is seeking a Power Technician 1 - Temperature Control based in Chicago (Lemont), IL, to provide heating, cooling, and oil-free air solutions for various customers. The role involves fieldwork, maintenance, and repairs of power generators and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the field with local travel daily in a company vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations.
• Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites, either independently or with other technicians.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 2-5 years of experience working on diesel power/natural gas generators.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card if required.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
