Overview

The Inspector II position at Regal Rexnord is a fully onsite role responsible for various inspection tasks throughout the facility, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production targets. The role serves as a vital link between shop floor associates and engineering specifications, emphasizing team cohesion and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict adherence to and implementation of Company Safety and Work rules.
  • Perform inspection operations in areas including Final Inspection, Heat Treat Inspection, Plating Inspection, Receiving QC Inspection, Pre/Post OSP Inspection, In-Process Inspection, and First Article Inspection.
  • Create nonconformance documentation (NCRs) when discrepancies are detected and remove discrepant material from production areas.
  • Maintain and support SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) metrics in all assigned areas.
  • Ensure compliance with quality requirements, including procedural compliance and defect reporting.
  • Maintain inspection data during daily inspections and ensure paperwork is organized at the end of the shift.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Quality team to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Escalate production and assembly quality issues or work stoppages immediately.
  • Set up and adjust gauges using required equipment or masters per specification requirements.
  • Work with quality engineering in the design of new or modified gauging as needed.
  • Assist the manufacturing area in troubleshooting and resolving gauge issues.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Person with US permanent residence.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2-3 years previous Aerospace DSQR experience preferred.
  • Qualified experience, ASQ Certified CQT CMI is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of the AS9102 First Article Inspection process and Quality Planning tools.
  • Understanding of aviation industry compliance standards including ISO and AS 9000 quality systems.
  • Strong application knowledge of calibration and metrology systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic math aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of engineering part drawings and metallurgy.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
  • Training and experience in Microsoft Office 2000 or greater.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the shift.

  • This is a fully onsite role.
  • Working hours are from 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm.
