Overview
At Tiffany & Co., the Facilities Operating Engineer will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of process and building equipment, contributing to the Preventative Maintenance Program at The Landmark. The role emphasizes a commitment to excellence and safety while supporting the company's legacy of craftsmanship and joy.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain all process and building equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, wastewater treatment, electrical and lighting.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks on all process and building equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Test and inspect all emergency and life safety systems to meet FM, NFPA, OSHA and all agency standards and guidelines.
- Complete all project/fabrication work and procure necessary parts/supplies.
- Communicate with outside vendors for service support and parts supplies.
- Support outside contractors scheduled to complete projects within the facility.
- Maintain adequate inventory to support the facility.
- Follow safety procedures consistently and report incidents and safety issues to the direct manager.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in related field.
- Certificates of fitness: Q01/S13/S12/A35/S95/F01.
- Ability to use power tools and craft equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Basic plumbing and pipefitting experience.
- Basic carpentry and fabrication skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be available to respond to building related emergency calls after hours.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
