Overview

L3Harris is seeking a Non Destructive Testing Film X-ray Level 2 Technician for the 2nd shift in Carlstadt, New Jersey. The role involves processing, interpreting, and evaluating materials for compliance with specifications and standards, contributing to the company's mission in defense technology.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret information from work instruction documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform X-ray level 2 tasks according to approved procedures and techniques.
• Set up and operate industrial x-ray equipment and conduct system performance checks.
• Detect and identify indications affecting quality and safety factors.
• Determine and disposition items based on NDT results.
• Record test results and findings manually or using a computer system.
• Coordinate recurring defects with supervisors and quality engineers.
• Test and pass NAS 410 Level II certification in-house.
• Pass vision test requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 800 hours experience in industrial X-ray inspecting aerospace components.
• Previously certified as an X-ray Level 2 to specification ASNT or NAS410.
• Basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
• Computer experience including accessing online documents and using Microsoft Office.
