Overview
Support a Fortune 500 Aero Defense company as an Assembler. The role involves assembling electronic components and ensuring conformance with requirements while performing various assembly operations.
Responsibilities
- Assembles electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies and modules using samples, visual aids, prints, wiring lists, and diagrams.
- Verifies results to ensure conformance with requirements and performs rework as needed.
- Performs mechanical assembly operations using standard measuring tools and techniques.
- Conducts electronic assembly operations such as wire termination and installation of wire harnesses and other electronic components.
- Fabrics wires on a Jig Board according to specifications.
- Prepares wires by routing, dressing, and terminating conductors to specific dimensions.
- Pre-stages circuit card kits and forms components using machine and hand devices.
- Performs masking operations prior to wave soldering or coating of circuit card assemblies.
- Cleans boards per Manufacturing Control Specifications.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen due to ITAR requirements.
- High School/GED required.
- Six months of electronic assembly experience required.
- Soldering experience in conformance with IPC J-STD 001 and IPC 610.
- Ability to interpret instructions on process sheets, prints, or route cards.
- Ability to use hand tools and measurement tools.
- Training or certification in IPC J-STD 001 and IPC 610 is a plus.
