Overview

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Fabricator for the 1st Shift in Repair Solutions. The role involves various manufacturing tasks under supervision, contributing to innovative aerospace solutions while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates patterns for material removal to meet customer specifications.
• Uses handheld air powered tools such as grinders, sanders, and deburring tools.
• Follows standard operating procedures to achieve desired results while meeting quality standards.
• Maintains records associated with periodic maintenance and orders spare/replacement parts as needed.
• Maintains a clean work environment in compliance with company and government regulations.
• Assists in developing a business culture that supports cost, quality, process, schedule, and people.
• Ensures a safe workplace and adherence to environmental policies.
• Complies with GKN Aerospace's contracting policies with the United States Government.
• Performs other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Certification to operate a forklift is required.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to security clearance requirements.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
• Reliable and satisfactory attendance is essential.
