Overview

New Flyer is North America's heavy-duty transit bus leader, offering advanced products under the Xcelsior® and Xcelsior CHARGE® brands and infrastructure development through NFI Infrastructure Solutions™. The Production Welder will operate welding machines and work with various weld fixtures while adhering to CWB welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively in a team environment
• Weld using various materials and techniques, specifically MIG and TIG
• Read and interpret welding blueprints and/or process sheets
• Interpret weld symbols
• Complete tasks while ensuring performance targets and quality are met

Requirements

• Two to three years' welding experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous experience with 5S and lean manufacturing is an asset
• Able to perform required duties with minimal supervision
• Thorough knowledge of all types of welding procedures and practices
• Must be available to work all shifts
