Overview
The Mig Welder position involves securing components into a fixture and using a welder to join parts together while ensuring quality through inspection and measurement. The role requires proficiency in welding techniques and adherence to safety and environmental procedures.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety and environmental procedures.
- Come to work everyday, on time as scheduled.
- Demonstrate proficient communication skills.
- Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts.
- Examine welds and unload parts to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
- Use a computer to enter part information/inventory in the ERP system.
- Load, setup, operate Mig welding equipment.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and repair to keep the Mig welder running smoothly.
- Examine weld during the welding process and adjust parameters as needed.
- Execute scheduling board.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to use motorized walking stacker.
- Ability to operate cranes and overhead hoists.
- Ability to use quality inspection equipment.
- Proficient in basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to pass an eye exam.
