Overview

DXP is seeking Pump Mechanics of all levels to join their team, emphasizing growth and customer service excellence since 1908. The company is dedicated to providing innovative solutions for industrial customers through their expertise in MROP products and services.

Responsibilities

• Receive, disassemble, inspect, repair, paint, package/prepare for shipment API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment.
• Assist with training and developing Pump Mechanic personnel to ensure efficient use of manpower and compliance with customer requirements.
• Monitor progress of repairs and assign and guide shop personnel to complete those repairs.
• Serve as one of the most experienced tradesmen in the shop.
• Set the positive leadership tone and behavior.
• Interact with customers in a positive way showing them how DXP cares about their business.
• Assist the Supervisor in the execution of all work.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience working in a pump repair shop facility with previous experience repairing API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment.
• Experience repairing API/Engineered pumps, creating details, and making technical decisions.
• In-depth understanding of API 610 and other applicable standards.
• Ability to read pump sectional, machine drawings, and OEM pump manuals.
• Disassembly, inspection, and ability to write up a detailed rotating equipment report on necessary repairs and replacement parts.
• Safely use hand, power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings, mechanical seal removal, installation, and pneumatic pressure testing preferred.
• Ability to work with multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision.
• Background check, physical, and drug test required.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Information

• Pay: $30.00hr - $55.00hr, DOE
• Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.
• Shift Time/Overtime: Day shift and regular overtime.
• Location: USA:WA: Redmond.
