Overview

NOV is a leading provider of technology, equipment, and services to the global oil and gas industry, focusing on improving the cost-effectiveness, efficiency, safety, and environmental impact of operations. The Electrical Test Technician will be responsible for assembling and testing various components while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install electrical, electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic/pneumatic components.
  • Test hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and schematics.
  • Operate machines or use hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place.
  • Mount assembly components on panels or printed circuit boards and connect component lead wires.
  • Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
  • Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware to assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
  • Perform continuity tests on completed assemblies.
  • Perform the assembly, startup, and function test of equipment systems.
  • Troubleshoot systems, make necessary repairs, and correct system issues.
  • Install and verify preferred software.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of assembly/mechanical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work at high levels, wearing a Fall Protection Harness when performing work above 4 feet.

Additional Information

  • Limited travel required.
  • Exposed to loud noise while in the warehouse.
  • Exposed to moving parts while on the shop floor.
  • Works in a warehouse/shop floor environment setting 100% of the day.
  • Exposed to occasional hot and/or cold weather depending on outside climate conditions and warehouse temperature.
