Overview

CEIS Power is seeking an experienced millwright mechanic with 2+ years of experience in a shop environment with reciprocating compressors or industrial mechanical/electrical experience. This contract-to-hire position is for a motivated individual to join a fast-paced, growing team in an industrial manufacturing and service company.

Responsibilities

• Install, mount, and set reciprocating compressors, engines, and motors.
• Perform precision alignments, including coupling alignments.
• Heat and install coupling hubs.
• Conduct soft foot checks and corrections on compressor and engine feet.
• Install and align cooler sheaves and belts.
• Perform flatness checks on compressor frames.
• Conduct rod run-outs, crosshead clearance checks, and piston end clearance adjustments.
• Install distance piece supports and set proper lift per manufacturer specifications.
• Install and level compressor cylinders.
• Read and interpret compressor balance sheets and lubricator block diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in industrial equipment.

Requirements

• Experience working with reciprocating compressors and rotating equipment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience with alignment, precision measurement, and mechanical installations.
• Background in industrial maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a field or shop environment.
