Overview
Dover Precision Components is part of Dover Corporation’s Pumps and Process solutions segment, delivering performance-critical solutions across various markets. The 2nd Shift CNC Machinist will operate CNC machines, performing routine work on standardized parts while ensuring quality and precision.
Responsibilities
- Work from drawings, sketches, and specifications to complete various machining operations.
- Perform machine setups to obtain close tolerances, fitting, and alignment of machined parts.
- Obtain required inspections on first pieces of a run and perform inspections on work-in-progress.
- Complete and maintain all necessary records for each job.
- Make jigs, fixtures, or other specialized non-production devices as qualified and assigned.
- Perform first piece inspections on basic products for other machinists as qualified and assigned.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance of machines according to PM schedule.
- Troubleshoot drawings, machining, tooling, programming, and material issues.
- Utilize Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) as called out on prints.
- Ensure proper machine setup and accurate interpretation of prints and specifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some trade school or on-the-job training is required.
- Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading is necessary.
- 2+ years of experience as a CNC machinist.

Additional Information
- Work schedule: Mon-Thu 3:30 pm - 2 am.
- Work arrangement: onsite.
- Bonus eligible based on performance metrics.
