Overview
Outpost is pioneering Earth return logistics for space, building vehicles that can return payloads from orbit safely and precisely. They are looking for an Electrical Technician to build wiring harnesses and electrical systems for their return vehicles, working closely with engineers and the integration and test team.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, install, and inspect wiring harnesses and electrical systems for the return vehicle
- Support avionics integration, including connector mating, continuity checks, and cable routing
- Follow detailed work instructions and schematics to build flight hardware
- Assist with electrical troubleshooting during integration and test
- Support test campaigns, including instrumentation setup
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Document work performed and flag discrepancies to engineering
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree or technical certification in electronics or electrical fields preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly, wiring harness fabrication, or systems integration
- Proficiency reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
- Experience with crimping, soldering, and cable/harness fabrication
- Familiarity with basic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
- Ability to work on your feet in a factory/lab environment
