Overview

The Electromechanical Assembler II position at Ducommun involves performing light electronic and electromechanical assembly work, particularly with Radiofrequency and pushbutton switches. Ducommun, founded in 1849, is a global provider of manufacturing solutions for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high skill level work with complex schematics, drawings, and assembly blueprints.
  • Use a variety of hand tools for soldering, wiring, and crimping.
  • Be responsible for final assembly or production build-up of complete units.
  • Perform troubleshooting and rework of production items.
  • Review and verify shop packet material for completeness.
  • Make minor procedural decisions in fitting and soldering.
  • Plan work sequences and determine workability of completed items.
  • Verify completion of work and sign off on shop traveler.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to understand and complete assigned paperwork.
  • Ability to follow verbal, written, or diagram instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing and certified soldering.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be safety oriented.
  • Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
  • H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience and/or training.
