Overview

We are looking for a field service professional who can install, troubleshoot, repair, and support industrial automation equipment in customer environments across North America. This role requires strong technical judgment, disciplined communication, and the ability to work independently in high-pressure service situations.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues on industrial automation equipment.
  • Perform field service work at customer sites, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and system support.
  • Work safely with electrical systems up to 600 VAC and use multimeters and other diagnostic tools effectively.
  • Promote aftermarket products during service calls by identifying customer needs and recommending relevant parts, services, or upgrades.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, internal teams, and leadership regarding issues, progress, timelines, and resolution plans.
  • Document service activity accurately, completely, and on time using required systems and tools.
  • Organize work effectively, prioritize service demands, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to support department goals and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Handle challenging situations calmly, professionally, and with good judgment.
  • Incorporate feedback, apply coaching, and continuously improve performance and technical capability.
  • Maintain professional conduct, accountability, and compliance with company policies and applicable health and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties related to the purpose and level of the position, consistent with the employee's skills, training, business needs, and applicable law.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in a technical role, preferably troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial automation environment.
  • Experience working with electrical systems up to 600 VAC.
  • Proficiency using multimeters or other voltage measurement tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and remain effective under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel without restrictions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% or more depending on business needs.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
