Tennant Company is a leader in the cleaning equipment industry, committed to creating innovative and sustainable solutions. The Field Mechanic role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Tennant products at customer facilities, contributing to a cleaner and healthier world.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and resolve complex problems by troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and combustion engine problems.
• Own your territory and plan your daily schedule, including contacting customers to schedule service activities.
• Create and maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of all Tennant Company property, including the company vehicle and tools.
• Follow all safety protocols and utilize proper PPE.
• Collaborate with internal partners such as sales, customer service, and technical assistance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license plus meet Tennant Company driving policy requirements.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing combustion engines.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficient in using hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
• Familiarity with personal computers, MS Office Suite, and email.
