Overview
The Building Mechanic is responsible for maintaining equipment, hardware, and building systems across various facilities, performing general maintenance duties with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Maintains building HVAC and building automation systems, including air conditioning, heating, plumbing, minor electrical and lighting.
- Assists plumbers, electricians or other personnel.
- Prepares and maintains logs and records of equipment operations, building automation systems and system repairs.
- Samples and tests boilers and cooling towers and prepares reports.
- Reviews pass down reports of equipment, tools and preventive maintenance checklists.
- May act as a lead person on assignments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program.
- One (1) year of work related experience.
- Must have a valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record.
- Must pass a security clearance check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
