Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of rental equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled services.
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all work performed accurately.
• Use shop tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Order or request necessary parts.
• Collaborate with service managers and other technicians.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop environment.
• Assist with equipment preparation, staging, and quality checks.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in maintaining and repairing construction, aerial, and power equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools and service manuals.
• Skills in performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks.
• Basic electrical and hydraulic system knowledge.
• Proficiency in documenting work orders and service history using computer or tablet-based systems.
• Commitment to safety practices and maintaining a clean shop environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience as a shop or field technician/mechanic preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in diesel technology, automotive, or heavy equipment is a plus.
