Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer who enjoys solving mechanical problems, working directly with industrial equipment, and traveling to customer sites across North America and occasionally internationally. This role is ideal for a mechanically-minded professional who enjoys taking things apart, figuring out how they work, and helping customers keep critical equipment running.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and start up industrial machinery at customer sites
  • Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs in the field
  • Provide technical support during and after warranty periods, both onsite and remotely
  • Train customer personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices
  • Conduct equipment demonstrations and prototype/sample part manufacturing
  • Document service activities and communicate findings with customers and internal teams
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree OR 4+ years of military experience in a mechanical or electrical field
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial machinery
  • Previous field service, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial equipment experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and solve equipment issues independently
  • Customer-focused approach with strong communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50-75% following training

Additional Information

  • Travel will range between 50-75% after training
  • Most travel occurs during the workweek with weekends typically spent at home
  • Valid passport required or ability to obtain one
  • Occasional international travel may be required, including trips to Switzerland for training or customer support
