Overview
We are working with an industrial equipment company in the Duluth area that has an immediate need for a Field Service Technician. This position will be responsible for installing, starting up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing industrial machinery at customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Install, start up, commission, and test industrial machinery at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and computer-controlled equipment.
- Provide technical assistance to customers onsite, by phone, and through remote support.
- Support customers during and after the equipment warranty period.
- Train customer employees on the proper operation and basic troubleshooting of the equipment.
- Perform equipment demonstrations and assist with sample or prototype parts.
- Complete service reports and communicate repair findings clearly to customers and internal staff.
- Follow all company and customer safety procedures.
Requirements
- Three or more years of industrial machinery troubleshooting or field service experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with pneumatic systems, PLCs, sensors, motors, and machine controls.
- Two-year technical degree or four years of relevant military mechanical or electrical experience.
- Ability to work independently while traveling to customer locations.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Willing and able to travel approximately 75%, including frequent overnight travel.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Fluent English is required. Conversational Spanish is a plus.

Additional Information
- Frequent weekday travel, with most weekends at home.
- When not traveling, the technician will work from the Norcross office.
