Overview

Responsibilities

• Weld in all positions using stick, tig, mig, and Flux Core.
• Work with carbon steel, stainless, and exotic materials.
• Layout, install, and repair all types of pipe or similar tubular products.
• Plan, layout, install, test, and repair piping systems including relief valves.
• Use appropriate hand and power tools for measuring, cutting, assembling, welding, and installing pipes.
• Utilize pipe fitting techniques for different types of piping systems.
• Follow job site safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
• Read and understand isometric and orthographic drawings.
• Participate in audits, investigations, and quality efforts.
• Complete all safety training as required.
• Work collaboratively with team members and assist others as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 10 years of pipefitter/welder experience or completion of a 5-year apprenticeship required.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Effective oral, written, and computer communication skills.
• Knowledge of gaskets and wrench to bolt sizes.
• Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights.
• Must be able to work overtime and respond to callouts.
