Overview

FlexSteel is an innovation-driven flexible pipe technology company located in Baytown, TX, seeking a Welder for the day shift. The Welder will be responsible for fitting and welding pipe joints using various materials and welding processes, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow and comply with all safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Demonstrate commitment to punctuality and regular attendance.
• Ensure traceability throughout fabrication and use correct materials.
• Weld components according to established PQR and WPS procedures.
• Inspect welds against product criteria and report quality defects.
• Re-work non-conforming parts as per NCR dispositions.
• Complete work order documents accurately each day.
• Support other manufacturing operations as required.
• Stage and store completed components to prevent damage.
• Participate in 5S practices and support lean activities.
• Meet production requirements and goals in the weld area.
• Work as part of a multi-functional team to promote continuous improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Team Lead.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Welding certification or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of manual TIG/MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read prints, WPS, and work instructions.
• Ability to read and understand x-ray films.
• Experience welding stainless and carbon steel metals required.
• Ability to weld groove welds in the 1G position.
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be a team player.

Additional Information

• Day Shift: 7am-7pm.
• Located in Baytown, TX.
