Overview

GreenWood, Inc. is actively recruiting for a Pipe Welder Journeyman position at the Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. This Regular Full-Time, Non-Exempt role involves completing welds on pipes according to specified standards and requires no travel.

Responsibilities

• Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
• Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process to be used.
• Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
• Assists with tests on new components, assemblies, and systems based on test criteria.
• Uses, maintains, and possesses required hand tools necessary to perform tasks assigned.
• Participates in daily toolbox talks.
• Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of experience in pipe systems, testing processes and equipment, and commonly used concepts in the welding field.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency.
• Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work.
• Demonstrates ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus on quantity and quality.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions with minimal direct supervision.
• Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Additional Information

• Employees normally work Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.
• Position is designated as 'safety-sensitive'.
• No travel required and no per diem offered.
