Overview

RelaDyne is the nation’s leading automotive, industrial, and commercial lubricants provider, looking for a skilled and dependable Mechanic II to maintain their fleet. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, and supporting the maintenance of various fleet equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, inspections, and fluid services.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance and safety concerns.
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of fuel systems and pumps.
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Work alongside senior mechanics on complex diagnostics and major repairs.
  • Accurately complete work orders, maintenance records, and inspection reports.
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Respond to roadside service calls as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on equipment and industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support fleet operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to four years of experience maintaining and repairing diesel or heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to diagnose and complete intermediate-level repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to document maintenance activities accurately.
  • Experience with fuel trucks or petroleum equipment is a plus but not required.
