Overview

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. (E2) is a professional services firm established in 1988 specializing in a full spectrum of engineering services. E2 is hiring a Coating Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector who will examine pipes, fittings, valves, and associated components within the pipeline and piping industry, ensuring the quality and integrity of coated materials and products.

Responsibilities

• Review the applicable coating system specifications.
• Initiate the qualification of surface preparation.
• Ensure the readiness of the QA/QC requirements are met before starting coating application.
• Initiate inspection requests for client’s monitoring inspections.
• Ensure the calibration/validation of blasting/coating equipment and tools.
• Monitor environmental conditions, including ambient temperature, dew point, and relative humidity.
• Monitor curing operations.
• Perform visual inspections as needed.
• Perform WFT and DTF validations.
• Validate Holiday testing of coated components.
• Monitor and inspect for handling damage.
• Witness and document all repairs.
• Prepare inspection reports and internal NCRs.

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience in related field of piping, fittings, or valve with coating and logistics.
• Must possess an AMPP CIP Level 1, 2, or 3.
• Fundamental knowledge of ASTM, NACE, SSPC, and AMPP coating specifications as it relates to piping material.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with other team members and client personnel.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
