Overview

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is a global leader in owner equipment manufacturing (OEM) dedicated to providing custom solutions for data center customers. The Plumber position involves assisting with various plumbing tasks and requires proven experience in industrial plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers as necessary for projects.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• Braise and solder copper pipe ½” – 4”.
• Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Work with PVC pipe.
• Use power tools.
• Perform other assigned work as required.
• Read blueprints and follow SOPs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial plumber with a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.
• Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
• Appropriate credentials and certifications.
• Ability to work shift work.
• Ability to work in small spaces.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.

Additional Information
