Overview

Martin Marietta is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated, responsible for repairing and maintaining plant industrial equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various roles including fabrication, welding, cutting, greasing, and housekeeping.
  • Maximize performance of equipment by performing repairs and ensuring timely preventative maintenance.
  • Perform simple and intermediate type diagnosis/repairs without constant supervision.
  • Utilize electrical and pressure testing equipment within company guidelines and safety standards.
  • Complete required paperwork to maintain equipment and run the plant according to standards.
  • Perform erections of processing equipment and make repairs to processing and mobile equipment.
  • Conduct MSHA pre-shift safety inspections of equipment and work area.
  • Operate other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks safely as needed.
  • Aid in the training of co-workers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • Have one (1) year of experience in welding and maintenance.
  • Have experience in welding and maintenance in the mining industry (preferred).
  • Possess a welding certification (a plus).

Additional Information

  • Hours are Monday - Thursday from 6:30 am - 4:30 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.
