Worley is a global company specializing in energy, chemicals, and resources, headquartered in Australia. The Structural Welder position involves welding and assembling various structural forms, contributing to projects that create value across the lifecycle of assets.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
• May use various welding processes including Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, Gas-Tungsten Arc, Submerged Arc, or Shielded Metal Arc.
• Bolts, clamps, and welds metal components of products such as piping systems and structural shapes using arc welding equipment.
• May manually apply filler rod to supply weld metal and clean or degrease weld joints.
• May repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes, and remove excess weld and defective material.
• May preheat work pieces using a hand torch or heating furnace and cut metal plates or structural shapes.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Additional responsibilities may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience.
