Overview
The Structural Fitter is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of fabricating, fitting, connecting, and joining various types of metal parts for structures. This position requires interpreting blueprints and selecting appropriate welding equipment. Delta Constructors specializes in construction, maintenance, and project management services across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes blueprints and structural drawings.
- Adheres to applicable welding methods in completion of structural fabrications.
- Utilizes manual and mechanical processes to fabricate, fit and erect various steel configurations.
- Cleans and prepares metal workpieces to ensure a smooth and contaminant-free surface.
- Cuts, repairs, and assembles building components to form complete structures.
- Conducts post-welding activities such as grinding, cleaning, and polishing of workpieces.
- Assists with rigging, bolt-up and structural placement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or Equivalent.
- Skill in operating tools such as band saw, drill press, plasma cutter, and track torch.
- Current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- North Slope Training Certification (NSTC).

Additional Information
- Schedule: 4 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF, 7 days per week, 11.5 hours per day.
- Work Location: North Slope, Alaska.
