Overview

The Tooling Welder position at Howmet Aerospace Inc. involves coordinating activities to support the Manufacturing/Tooling Engineering department under the supervision of the tooling supervisor. The role requires proficiency in welding and the ability to read blueprints, contributing to the production of parts and improving operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Satisfy tooling orders daily to support manufacturing and tooling department schedules.
• Develop and maintain department goals and projects to improve operational effectiveness.
• Proficiently use the inner shield wire welder.
• Have knowledge of preheating and post-heating dies.
• Set up and use an automatic welding positioner.
• Maintain welder cables and wire feed.
• Read blueprints.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Minimum one year welding, tooling or related experience.
• Forklift Operator’s certificate required.
• Must be a U.S. person due to ITAR regulations.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
