Overview
The Welder is responsible for timely and efficient welding and fabricating of material at jobsites and/or facility, aiming to safely and productively produce material that satisfies both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Attend all scheduled safety, department, and company meetings as required.
- Communicate issues with fixtures, customer prints, material issues, welding equipment, and supporting tools.
- Follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices at all times.
- Establish priorities for efficiently staging, processing, and packaging materials.
- Accept responsibility for all aspects of the work produced.
- Inspect and verify all aspects of the material when receiving, producing, or packaging.
- Scrutinize customer requirements and special instructions to ensure compliance.
- Confirm materials and parts are produced to print.
- Ensure inventory is accurate.
- Ensure audit and material traceability procedures are being followed.
Requirements
- Must work at a job site or facility within OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to work in heated and/or unheated, dusty and noisy conditions.
- Steel-toed boots required daily.
- Must work with hot welding processes and products.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call at various times.
- Ability to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to eight hours per shift.
- Ability to lift up to 51 pounds as needed.
- Wear proper PPE at all times as described in company policy.
Additional Information
- Starting pay of $19.50/hr plus $2.50/hr shift differential, with higher pay based on experience.
- Work schedule is Monday-Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
