Astec is seeking a Welder for the Day Shift in Blair, NE. The company emphasizes safety and innovation in its work environment, offering opportunities for skill expansion in welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Cut and prepare surfaces or components.
• Lay out, position, fit, tack, weld, and finish a variety of parts or products following established methods and specifications.
• Handle and position heavy components using an overhead crane, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift, overhead crane, and rigging experience required.
• Must pass welding test.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret detailed drawings.

Additional Information

• Day Shift hours are Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm, Friday 6:00am-2:30pm.
• Night Shift hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-5am.
• Positions available for both day and night shifts.
