Overview

The Pipefitter Certified Plus position involves assembling, laying out, installing, and maintaining pipe systems for steam, fluid, or gas systems. The role requires extensive experience in industrial pipe fitting and the ability to work in various environments, including heights and underground areas.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work.
• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and precautions to eliminate those risks.
• Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications.
• Install valves, hangars, supports, and flanges according to plans.
• Perform tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and piping systems.
• Hoist loads using rigging equipment.

Requirements

• Must have 4+ years working as an Industrial Pipe Fitter or Pipe Fitter Helper.
• Ability to read prints and illustrate thorough knowledge of pipe fitting procedures.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Experience on an industrial construction project.
• Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Knowledge of pipe fitting processes for industrial piping and boiler components.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Good manual dexterity and reading comprehension.
• Ability to work with others and independently.
• Commitment to safety rules and regulations.

Additional Information

• This is a maintenance position with no per diem.
• Employee will be required to work outside in various weather conditions.
