Overview

MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation specializing in water and wastewater general contracting across Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico. They are seeking a Mechanical/Process Equipment Installer for their Arizona Division in the Phoenix metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications.
  • Lay out large and small diameter mechanical piping and equipment such as Clarifiers, Filters, Chemical Rooms, Aeration Basin Systems, Influent Fine Screens, and Pumps.
  • Monitor safety for all on-site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent in monitoring project labor.
  • Understand the process of equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring.
  • Possess knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
  • Be knowledgeable about different types of process piping materials and connections including PVC, Steel, SST, and DIP.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least five (5) years of experience installing piping and equipment on multi-functional water/wastewater projects required.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time position.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
  • The position requires working outside for long periods in all weather conditions.
