SBA Communications has been a leader in the wireless industry since 1989, owning over 40,000 sites across 10+ countries. They are seeking problem-solvers for the Tower Technician role, emphasizing safety, teamwork, and a commitment to quality construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers and installing antennas.
• Read plans, site plans and tower drawings.
• Install, connect and test underground and above ground grounding systems.
• Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by planning and prioritizing.
• Ensure Tower Crew Lead is apprised of construction progress and concerns.
• Identify materials and resources needed to complete projects.
• Identify construction 'punch list' items and ensure they are completed.
• Maintain and enforce all SBA and OSHA safety practices.
• Work with Construction Supervisor and Tower Crew Lead to analyze job requirements.
• Must be able to work overtime including weekends and evenings.
• Complete all aspects of SBA’s Tower U and TS&R training classes.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1+ years of recent tower climbing experience.
• Knowledge of standard knots and ability to read blueprints required.
• Knowledge and ability to operate Test Equipment preferred.
• Must possess the physical ability to climb to heights of up to 500 feet.
• Domestic Travel 90% of the time and able to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid Government Issued Driver's License required.
• Health Services/Drivers License - MDOT Medical Physical preferred.
• Other Anritsu certification preferred.
