The Marine Structures Project Engineer will perform structural and geotechnical engineering for marine and waterfront projects, contributing to the company's commitment to innovation and employee development.
Responsibilities
- Design piers, wharves, and bulkheads using concrete, steel, timber, and composites.
- Analyze existing structural capacity of deteriorated components.
- Perform field inspection of existing structures.
- Conduct berthing and mooring analyses.
- Prepare plans, designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with members of all company disciplines and external partners.
- Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents.
- Provide site visits during construction to ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work.
- Assist with the preparation of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Assign tasks to and direct engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Assist with proposals for professional services or funding for engineering projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring engineering projects.
- Proven experience in project management roles with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
