Overview

Superior Rigging & Erecting is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to become a key technical leader within their growing organization in Atlanta, Georgia. This role offers the opportunity to influence engineering projects and collaborate with various teams to develop solutions for complex construction challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineered lift plans, structural calculations, and technical solutions for complex construction and heavy lift projects.
• Evaluate structural loading, temporary support conditions, crane configurations, rigging systems, and construction methodologies.
• Partner directly with operations and project teams to solve real-world engineering challenges.
• Visit project sites to support planning, evaluate constructability, and provide technical guidance during critical operations.
• Support estimating and preconstruction teams by identifying engineering risks and practical solutions.
• Help establish engineering standards, procedures, calculation methods, and best practices.
• Mentor future engineering talent as the department continues to grow.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to leadership across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain Georgia licensure through reciprocity.
• Experience supporting complex engineering projects in construction, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, consulting, or related industries.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and field operations teams.
• Willingness to work in both office and project site environments.
