Responsibilities

• Install various types of plumbing pipe, equipment, PVC, sweat and solder copper and cast-iron pipes.
• Install fixtures such as sinks, toilets, urinals, fountains, bathtubs, and showers.
• Install and maintain plumbing systems for drainage, sewage, and potable water.
• Locate, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace plumbing equipment and fixtures as necessary.
• Wear PPE at all times and ensure all work is performed using proper installation procedures and safety practices.
• Teach others the trade, demonstrating patience and good teaching skills.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site-Superintendent.
• Treat others with respect and dignity, incorporating UMC's Vision, Mission, and Core Values.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid Plumber's License at some level.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Have a high school diploma or GED/equivalent.
• Multi-Family experience is helpful.
• Preferred 5 years of welding experience.
• Preferred 4 years of pipe fitting experience.
• Preferred 2 years of plumbing experience (not required).
• Ability to get certifiable by a 3rd party agency.
• Experience with both structural and pipe welding.
• Familiar with MIG, TIG & stick welding processes.
• Strong work ethic and high safety standards.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Possess good organizational, interpersonal, communication, and initiative skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Able to pass a physical and drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the US.
