Overview

The Fabricator position in Florence, KY involves fabricating metal components and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The role requires operating various fabrication machines and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Operate metal fabrication equipment including rolls, shears, saws, punch presses, flanges, benders, welders, and other machinery.
  • Cut, bend, roll, flange, seam weld, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, layouts, templates, and work instructions.
  • Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and other precision instruments.
  • Identify equipment issues or unusual conditions and report them to supervision.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Participate in pre-job meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Operate equipment according to established procedures and competency requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing best practices.
  • Assist with failure investigations when required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Basic blueprint reading skills.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills (email, online training, certifications).
  • Ability to identify and resolve workplace issues or escalate appropriately.
  • Must live within commuting distance of Florence, KY.
