Overview

We are hiring Shop & Field Mechanics with industry-leading pay and benefits, including a 401(k) match to 6%. The position involves diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, fabricating, and overhauling mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using diagnostic equipment.
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
  • Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and keep service records.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Weld or solder broken parts and structural members using welding tools.
  • Fabricate needed parts or items as required.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic with the drive to learn and perform tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain effective and collaborative workplace relationships.

Requirements

  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, and Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be willing to travel and work in remote locations and all weather conditions.
  • Experience repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment.
  • Experience driving vehicles or mechanized equipment.
  • Experience analyzing information and evaluating results to solve problems.
  • Experience inspecting equipment to identify causes of errors or defects.
  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions.
  • Ability to make decisions with a general understanding of procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and work under aggressive deadline pressure.
  • Ability to maintain a positive outlook when faced with challenges.
  • Possess good time management skills.

Additional Information

  • This is a non-exempt, hourly position.
  • Field mechanics are required to travel.
  • Mechanics typically work a 10x4, 9x5, or 8x6 schedule.
