Overview

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a highly skilled Journeyman Pipefitter/Welder for their Clatskanie, OR location, offering a starting pay of $48.45/hour. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and safety of their manufacturing operations, which produce well-known tissue brands.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance and project work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Fabricate, install, repair, and maintain industrial piping systems including process piping and HVAC-related piping.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Install, maintain, and diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment for repairs and custom fabrication.
• Utilize cranes, hoists, lift trucks, and rigging equipment for installations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance personnel, contractors, and operations teams.
• Commit to safety by following all environmental, health, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Journey level experience as a maintenance Pipefitter/Welder in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Experience with a variety of tools and equipment.
• Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation.
• Knowledge and experience with various welding processes such as TIG, MIG, and ARC.
• Experience using heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes.
